My family teases me that I am like a bird because I wake up when the sun rises and go to bed when the sun sets. I never subscribed to that old saying, “The early bird gets the worm” when I was young.
I thrived on night classes and having breakfast at noon in college. With little kids I had to get up early, then when they were teens, I had to stay up late.
Now, having crossed the bridge to 50+, I find sleep has become even more elusive.
Thus, daylight savings time with it’s one hour back on the clock really annoys me. Now it’s dark when I get up, barely light when I go to work, and dark when I leave work.
Do you feel any affects from the shortening of the winter days, compounded by the time change?
The only positive here is that the clock in my car returns to being correct for the next few months! I haven’t figured out yet how to change it and actually, don’t really want to.
